1925 Brescia Bugatti Car Found Underwater- Interesting

The Bugatti Type 13 was the Ettoresss Bugatti’s first real Bugatti car. With the foundation of company in 1910, production of the Type 13 and later Types 15, 17, 22, and 23 began. It was a revolutionary design and put everything on hold in Europe until the outbreak of the First World War. Europe had started the task of rebuilding itself and racing resumed when the war was over.

The road cars were known as “pur-sang” because of Ettore Bugatti’s designs. Five Type 13 racers had 16-valve heads, were one of the first ever produced. Bugatti was redesigned the engine with the first four-valve heads in 1921 and won the competition by claiming first, second, third and fourth places at the Brescia Grand Prix.

On a routine trip to Verbano Lake last second weekend, a diving club from the Swiss city of Ascona got lucky. The trip was a treasure hunt when they found on the lake’s bed, a 1925 Brescia Bugatti resting. The team of divers those who found the car get it back on land on July 12 but no one knows how this classic car came in the lake, but its details will emerge as soon as the vehicle is brought out to surface and studied. The car traveled a lot. According to the source, the vintage Bugatti has been lying around for more than 70 years.

There are about 3000 Bugattis in the world , from which only 160 are in Switzerland. On April 11, 1925 this Brescia Bugatti had been put into circulation and is one of the 13 Brescias ordered for Switzerland. Moreover, the car is not restorable; at a charity event in favor of Fondazione Damiano Tamagni, it will go on sale.
