Jay Leno’s eco jet is a bio diesel monster supercar and is simply a jet dressed up as a car. The car with silver bullet looks features 700 PS and 700 ft-lb of torque at 48,000 RPM. The Leno is powered by a Honeywell LT101 jet turbine engine running in a modified Corvette Z06 hydro formed aluminum frame with magnesium and aluminum structural and chassis components. The shell is composed of a carbon fiber over Kevlar skin.
Covered in carbon fiber is an aluminum chassis kept in contact with the ground using existing suspension bits from the Chevrolet Corvette with a four-speed automatic transmission from General Motors that reduces engine speed from those aforementioned lofty heights down to 6,000 rpm.
What adds it to the luxury? Its special carbon fiber brake discs from Brembo paired up with aluminum six-piston calipers makes it and adding to the luxury is the Microsoft built dash that includes a full Windows Vista-powered computer which is fully connected to the internet.
It is mentioned that you would only be able to drive this car during peak harvest season in Kansas with bio-diesel availability where it stands right now. It is a concerted effort toward solid, environmentally sound design for GM, one of the foremost American car manufacturers.
I hope you would like this Jay Leno’s EcoJet supercar.
