Chevrolet India has finally launched the new Aveo UV-A in 2009 to give competition to Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i20 and Maruti Suzuki Swift. The contemporary styling of this new model represents the global face of Chevrolet design.
Redesigned, chrome accents and body-color fascias along with features like its large power sunroof makes it a more expensive car. But Chevrolet may not bring this feature to India.
The new UV-A’s front includes the features the bold and chrome-finished grille with prominent gold Chevy bowtie and that is characteristic of all new members of the Chevrolet family like in the new D segment sedan – Cruze.
It also has features which reinforce its premium appearance includes new as well as distinctive jeweled-appearance headlamps and chrome-finished side vents on the front fenders.
Its more dynamic and assertive look is accomplished with V-shaped hood edges, crisp, bold rear and front fascias with premium cues like a rear-fascia lower grille, larger, available front fog lamps and on the trailing edge of the roof, a larger available rear spoiler located.
The New Aveo UV-A’s exterior involves a quiet passenger cabin that features well-crafted details as well as generous standard features that enhance comfort. It is a quiet interior environment also with soundproofing technologies that complement quieting power train enhancements and improved aerodynamics to provide a comfortable, quiet, as well as vibration-free ride, even at higher speed.
With features and refinement comparable to more expensive vehicles, it is one of the most spacious vehicles in its class and with its signature “tall car” design; the car easily accommodate 6-foot-tall passengers in each of the five seating positions.
Other premium elements involves technical-grain, wood grain, low-gloss surfaces; satin-chrome or carbon-fiber finishes on the door panels or instrument panel; and perforated faux leather seating surfaces, shifter knob and steering wheel cover.
I hope Chevrolet bring all these options to India also!
