Honda Super Cub motorcycle launched with a touch of EV

The world’s best motorcycle company Honda, is dipping its gears into the EV industry. At the Tokyo Auto Show, Honda launched this week an electric version of its Super Cub motorcycle.

Honda-ev-cubAt the Tokyo Auto Show, Honda pulled the wraps off a two-wheel-drive EV-Cub. The 50cc kick-star Honda Super Cub is the single most successful vehicle in the history of internal combustion with a top speed of 50 mph and just four horsepower. It is good to hear that Honda has sold more than 60 million of their motorcycles and after all that time the Cub is going electric.

Honda Super Cub also called as Honda Cub is a 50cc 4-stroke under bone motorbike first manufactured in 1958 by the Honda Motor Co. Ltd. I am very excited that how more efficient this new concept could be because the gas-based equivalent can already get over 300 miles per gallon.

Honda reps had given the statement that it is a concept designed “to be just as functional and convenient as its world famous predecessor: means as its brother bike. So, in case if it does reach mass market, I am hoping that it also maintains that low price range.

The company had not provided much detail about it. I am not sure how much more efficient it will be, either, unless you are charging it with solar power. The electro-Cub looks like fun and it is a great way to bring an affordable EV to the masses.

So, just wait for its more details.
