One of my friends had attended the 18th International Engineering and Technology Fair (IETF) in Bangalore last month at which the Toyota Prius was on display. The company is expected to exhibit the car in India to catch the customer reactions means how they react to the car and how they are willing to pay for the car?
The Toyota Prius is the first mass produced hybrid car of the world and now going to launch in India by early 2010. Its price is between Rs 11.25-12.50 lakh in the US but it is expected the price will be between Rs 18-22 lakh in India due to the duties levied on CBU imports.
