Harley Davidson: The bike of Your Dream

Posted by Yogesh Kumar On June - 24 - 2009

Harley Davidson does not have any presence in the Indian market so far so the iconic American bike-maker is planning to entry in India through the CBU (completely built up) route.

This bike is a symbol that has become a part of popular American culture. It symbolizes a certain recklessness of attitude and adventure. Therefore, throughout history, the Harley Davidson bike has become part of movies and literature, as a culture symbol. There is a long history behind this cult symbol.

Amazing thing about this bike is that despite the fact that it was founded in 1903, despite the changing the styles and fashions, this fashion symbol has remained constant throughout the ages. It has managed to defeat both time and fashion. What was trendy over a hundred years ago is very distinct to what is trendy now. With only certain modifications, the bike has remained the same, such that it is instantly recognizable on the roads. Harley-Davidson too survived a media-accelerated negative image of motorcyclists.

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company is based in Milwaukee in the state of Wisconsin. The bike is usually known as a Harley and all the bikes under these line are heavy bikes with engine power starting from 750cc.

Thus the Harleys are ideal for fast rides on the highway, on fast rides. The Harley-Davidson motorcycles have a very unique design and structure and this distinctiveness of design make it possible for these bikes to be modified, using customized features and parts. This has led to the rise of the chopper bike, which is a highly customized bike and is usually meant for sports biking.

Features

  • heavyweight (over 750 cc) motorcycles designed for cruising on the highway
  • popularly known as “Harleys”
  • chopper-style of motorcycle
  • reflect the styles of classic Harley designs
  • light motorcycle

It sustains a loyal brand community which keeps active through events, clubs and a museum.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the U.S based motorcycle manufacturer, produces heavyweight motorcycles, a complete line of motorcycle parts, accessories. Harley’s tourers will make you smile, Whether the bike of your dreams is labelled FLHR (Road King), FLHTCU (Ultra Classic Electra Glide) or FLHX (Street Glide) to pick out but the presence of those twin initial letters tells you that it’s designed to cover distances in comfort.

In fact, “luxury” is closer to the mark but Habitat never made anything as sumptuous. To riders of modern European and Japanese touring machines, Harleys resemble furniture trucks, similar levels of agility and threaten.

So, we hope you are also waiting for your dream bike to come in India as soon as possible.
