Posted by Abhyudaya Tripathi On September - 29 - 2009

As I have told you my dad has gifted me Titan Nebula and same day he has gifted Rado watch to my brother. Now, let me know that weather my gift is good or my bro’s gift.

Rado watchRado is a Swiss manufacturer of watches and its watch is linked with top quality timepieces made from the finest scratch proof materials in the world. Rado company was founded in 1917 in Switzerland and in 1960 the world’s first scratch proof watch was made under the name of Rado DiaStar. In 1983, Rado became part of the SMH group and known as the Swatch Group in 1998 which is now the biggest watch conglomerate in the world.

Design:

The V10K, introduced in 2004 is a watch with a coating of high tech diamond. On earth, the V10K is the hardest watch. Other than the material, the new Rado watches are totally different from some of the more traditional Swiss watchmakers as it uses unconventional high tech materials and designs. Rado use a number materials unique to watchmaking for e.g. ceramics, lanthanum, hardmetal (tungsten and titaniumcarbide), and sapphire crystal.

People reaction’s to this is mixed as some prefer to go with the look of more traditional makers whereas others appreciate the more distinct Rado look. The various models of Rado have received more than 20 international design awards from the Red Dot Award to the If design Award during the years.

Price:

According to age, model and materials Rado watches vary in pricing but generally it will range from about US$400 to about US$28,000 for a watch made from the more precious materials.

Hmm….this watch is also too good. My dad’s choice is great. Thank you Dad!

What You Should look for in a MP3 player?

Posted by Yogesh Kumar On September - 25 - 2009

There are many MP3 players available in the market like Apple iPod, Sony, Samsung, iRiver, MP3 playerCreative Labs Nomad, Rio, Nike, Archos, RCA and Panasonic etc. So, finding the perfect MP3 player is really very difficult as each has its own strengths and applications. So, proper considerations of features, price, size, color, compatibility and capacity are very necessary before making a final decision.

Even Apple’s iPod, the most popular MP3 player option is offered in a dizzying amount of sizes, colors and configurations. Following are the features that you should consider before buying it or before wasting your money.

• Connectivity: Do you know connectivity means? It is the way your digital audio player connect to your computer to transfer music files. You have to choose one out of these two options: USB or FireWire. But both need a special type of cable (that may or may not be included in the packaging) to connect from your player to your computer.

The first option is called USB which is the most common one today and is supported by both Macs and PCs. But it is also slower in transferring music from your computer to the player. Second one is FireWire which is supported only on Macs.

Remember that transferring music can take some time as it depends on how many files you are copying over.

• File Types: The very important thing is to check what types of music files your player supports as when you copied the music from a CD onto your computer or downloaded from a Web site, then the type of file it is saved can vary. It will often default to the .mp3 format it could also end up as a .wma, .aac, .wav or something else.

• Display: These days, the display screen on most digital audio players is tiny. Using the screen along with navigating through options such as song shuffling, volume control and the equalizer is a must. Make sure that you can see the display under all conditions includes being outdoors when there is a glare and being able to read the characters on the screen without going blind.

• Storage Type: There are two types of storage for Players: flash-based units and hard drive models. Flash-based models are sleek and small and can adjust into your pocket. They are best for those on the go a lot and more active users, but the issue is that they can not carry more songs unless you add a expensive memory card.

Hard drive models store files in the 1000s and are best if you want to kick it with your all tunes in your cubicle at work without having to lug dozens of CDs around. They try to have movable parts means bouncing on the treadmill may make your music skip when your player does not have a memory buffer.

• Software: Most player ship with some type of software allows you to compile play lists as well as to copy files. But the question is that does the software provide guided instructions or are you left to struggle with a help file? Is this interface easy to navigate, or a cluttered mess of buttons and words?

I hope this article will be beneficial for you.

How you can choose a Mobile Phone for Business purpose?

Posted by Abhyudaya Tripathi On September - 24 - 2009

Mobiles setNow! Let’s discuss what are the things you consider before choosing the right mobile for your business purpose?

If you are a professional and looking out for a mobile phone that will meet your business needs then you should remember one thing that choosing a wrong phone can turn your life upside down. Check for features before purchasing it such as Bluetooth, infrared, expandable memory, video recorder, camera, picture messaging, MMS, mobile TV, GPRS, roaming facilities, ringtones, sim card space, voice dialing, video calling and voice mail. Also just look for internet accessibility and access to software compatible with Windows. Following are the points.

•    Bluetooth: The salient features of Bluetooth technology are low power, robustness and low cost. Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range communications technology to replace the cables connecting portable and fixed devices at the time of maintaining high levels of security. I mean you do not have to connect wires to talk hands free or for transferring data.

•    Infrared: Similar to Bluetooth, this is also used for transferring data but both phones must have line of sight.

•    General Packet Radio Service (GPRS): This feature depends on network but at that time your phone requires support for it. It will allow your phone to connect to the internet as well as to the browse websites.

•    Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE): An evolved version of GPRS, this offers faster data transfer rates and better connectivity.

•    Check the Ring Tone’s Quality: Polyphonic tones of a ring tone make the sound like many instruments playing together. The quality of the ring tone is measured numerically as with colors. If your phone has “16 polyphonic” then it means 16 instruments you can hear in a ring tone. If you really want a good sound then you require at least a 16.

•    Java compatibility: Java enables your phones to run a number of applications and games.

•    Battery life: Battery life is a very important aspect before purchasing a mobile phone. As poor battery life of your mobile can disturb and destroy your communication and can make it tuff to use other features. Look for which brand provides long lasting and durable batteries. Also if something goes wrong with the battery then check if the dealer can provide replacement.

•    Sound and Display Check: You should check the volume of the phone and see it should be strong enough to be heard and has an easy to use volume control so that you can turn it up whenever need and the volume should be really adequate for your needs.

Take a look at the display and also consider the colors as well as quality of color. The display should be easily readable even in difficult lighting conditions. If you want to watch videos or look at photos taken with your phone’s camera then you will require a handset with at least 65,000 colors.

There are other features you should check like Speakerphone, Telephone book memory, alarm clock, reminder, calendar, calculator, pedometer, stopwatch etc. Now, I hope my article will help you out to choose the best mobile for you.

What one should look out before buying a Mobile?

Posted by Yogesh Kumar On September - 24 - 2009

MobilesNow-a-days! Several mobiles are available in the market, therefore, it has become vey difficult to choose a correct mobile for entertainment purpose or for business purpose.

So, today I am providing you some tips that what we should look out before buying a mobile set.

Choosing a Mobile Phone for entertainment purpose then look for:

Cost: First step is to find your budget and find whether it is flexible or tight and then according to your budget, find look for those mobiles whose cost is equal to your budget.

Camera and Videos: This is the most common features present in mobiles these days. So, we should check its picture quality and it should not produce blurry images. Now-a-days, 1 MP is becoming standard. But 2 MP, 3 MP and higher resolution cam phones are available quite freely.

•    Multimedia: Purchasing a cell phone with FM or a MP3 player or both is good idea. Consider the number of mega pixels, the screen resolution and the zoom depth are the main things related to a digital camera. There is not much difference between three and five mega pixels. A three mega pixel camera can give you the best phone.

•    Memory: If you are choosing the phone for a business or entertainment purpose then you should consider phones with expandable memory. You may have mobile with 256 MB, 128 MB, 512 MB or 1 GB or 8 GB memory cards. But remember, Mobile phones tend to perform a little slow or hang when they are high on memory due to too much stored data.

•    Games: It should contain a lot of high quality games so that when one gets bored of playing 2-3 games again and again then he can switch to other games.

•    Lifestyle: A mobile handset has to be in sync with your lifestyle. Teenagers mostly consider phones with MP3 players, camera, radio and video recorders. Some girls choose phones with feminine looks and soft colors, whereas some boys choose sturdy handsets. Internet lovers choose mobile phones with General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connectivity.

For business purpose or any other purposes, what features will you require will discuss in next article.

Now! Get Updated MSI Wind U110 Eco with 15-Hour Battery in $400

Posted by Yogesh Kumar On September - 22 - 2009

MSI wind u110 ecoI have read somewhere that when MSI’s Wind U110 ECO was released in January, it was a perfect good netbook and all were quite satisfied with it. But it looked outdated when the newer HP Mini 5101 and Toshiba NB205 entered into the market and gave it a tuff competition. So, now an updated MSI’s Wind U110 ECO has come with a 15-hour and 9-cell battery. But I think this is not sufficient to know. So, let’s talk about its other features also.

MSI’s Wind U110 netbook has almost same features as the older one like:

•    Same 1.6GHz Atom Z530 CPU
•    Same lack of dedicated GMA500 graphics (it has got an integrated chip rather than the newer ATI Radeon HD3200 card)
•    Same 160GB hard drive
•    Same 1GB of DDR2 RAM
•    802.11n WiFi
•    Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
•    A 1.3 megapixel camera
•    Gigabit Ethernet
•    A trio of USB 2.0 ports
•    A 4-in-1 card reader
•    Windows XP Home

The good thing is that the notebook also offered a choice of operating system and versions can ship with either Windows XP or Vista. Now, let me tell you the difference which is that the giant 9-cell battery that supposedly gives a 15-hour run and the “Eco” name, which does not refer to any particular environmental update.

So, officially in its single configuration, the system ships for $430, though a NewEgg listing already has the same system which is available for $400.

Sony’s Thinnest NW-A840 Features OLED UpTo 64GB Capacity

Posted by Isha Farhad On September - 16 - 2009

Sony NW A840Today! I am going to represent the most stylish appearance as Sony, one of the biggest brands in media player market is again going to have blast with the launch of its latest A-Series OLED Walkman with some comprisable features. The NW-A840, the most brilliant Walkman from Sony is available in brown and black has all the features people have been wishing for in previous Walkmans.

The new NW-A840 series is a thinnest Walkman at only 7.2mm, has a jaw-dropping 2.8 inch WQVGA OLED screen, available in 16Gb, 32Gb and 64Gb. It also has S-Master digital amplifier, a TV-out with 720×480 resolution, FM radio and noise canceling. It does not have a WiFi or touchscreen. The browser on the X-Series was a disaster. The X-Series Walkman used an old CPU and lacked the memory needed an optimal iPhone-esque browser.

The newest A-Series Walkman is drag and drop that also includes for the first time auto converting video transfer and come bundle with premium MDR-EX300SL earphones. Other nice features to color your sound involve DSEE, Clear Stereo, Clear bass, and lyric display. It has about 9 hours of video playback at 384kbps MPEG-4 and 29 hours battery life at 128kbps. Codec support looks like WMA, MP3, AAC, ATRAC, HE-AAC, PCM/wav, ATRAC AL. The usual AVC (H2.64), WMV and MPEG-4 are allowed for movies.

The NW-A840 with OLED will be available for 263$ to 439$ (for the 64Gb version) first on October 31st, in Japan. My bro has seen in a personal media player and gave his opinion that it has a jaw-dropping 2.8 inch WQVGA OLED screen. What’s your opinion?

Samsung’s Furot II- Automated Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Camera

Posted by Kamleshwar Bhatt On September - 11 - 2009

VacuumWe always take interest in reading about the technologies related to automobiles, Mobile Technology, Gadgets etc. But we rarely have stuff to read about the technologies that we use in our daily life and plays an important role in making our surroundings neat and clean and that automatically makes our life more beautiful. I am glad that today I have an interesting thing for you i.e. Samsung’s Furot II vacuum cleaner.

Samsung is showing an automatic robot vacuum cleaner at the IFA so that you do not need to move an inch or oversee anything while it is performing its cleaning chore. That vacuum cleaner is the Furot II. The Furot II is a completely automated robot vacuum cleaner and has an integrated camera as well as visionary mapping system that allow the robot cleaner to see, think, learn and remember.

The 10cm long device has HEPA 11 filters, a two-sided brush to clean inaccessible areas, the usual suction pump and an ultralow noise level. This smart cleaning device uses its camera to determine its location and the sensors ignore all possible obstacles while moving from one place to another such as stairs and furniture. It can clean your house for about 90 minutes in single charge but if the battery is low then recharge it on the charging station and it will automatically resume cleaning from the place where it has left. Infact, when the battery is low again, it remembers you to go back to the charging station.

The Furot II robot vacuum cleaner has a manual mode also where you can send Furot II back to its station by just pressing a button on the remote. The cleaner’s price is not declared yet but we do hope it will be affordable.

Is $7,960 Gold-Plated CD Player a Waste of Money?

Posted by Yogesh Kumar On September - 11 - 2009

I think we are technically moving away from using CD’s. Now! I can get most if not all music in digital formats, but there is no reason to keep CD with ourselves. So, let’s see what especial features include in the Vamp NOS CD Player. CDplayer

Unlike any other CD player, the luxurious Vamp NOS CD Player is covered in gold and the wooden side panels of the chassis, renders an extra sense of polish in high frequencies. It also just plays the CD out in the open air, exposing the laser to dust and all sorts of things like that. While it just offers some standard features such as an LCD display with basic indications, the transport control buttons, a USB input and line level analog outputs (RCA). Its anti-stressful attitude makes this player stand out above the rest. It has designed by the Greek designer, Dimitris Zachariadis.

The luxurious Vamp NOS CD Player looks flashy no doubt but it only plays outdated CDs. The Product price is €5,500 or $7,960. So, is it a waste of money?
