ASUS 3 new Eee PC 1018P, 1016P & 1015P netbooks leak ahead of CeBIT 2010

Posted by Isha Farhad On February - 26 - 2010

Next week at CeBIT, there will not be a  shortage of new netbooks and laptops as ASUS will show up with at least three new 10.1-inch Eee PCs means 1015P, 1016P and 1018P. All have 10-inch displays and may run Intel’s latest Pine Trail Atom processors. But the most exciting of the bunch seem to be the executive-aimed 1016P and 1018P. Both will have an aluminum chassis and 14 hours of battery life.

The ASUS Eee PC 1015P (shown here) is a refresh of the existing 1005P, with the most noticeable difference being a larger touchpad.  It has the same matte display as well as the chiclet keys, but an aluminum body and battery life rated for up to 14hrs (though with the wireless turned off).

As for the ASUS Eee PC 1016P, it’s believed to have a business focus, with chiclet keys, a squared off design, an aluminum chassis and the same 14hr runtime.  And the ASUS Eee PC 1018P is tipped to be just 18mm thick, the company’s thinnest netbook to date, with an integrated fingerprint scanner, 10hrs of battery life and USB 3.0.
ASUS will give us more detail at CeBIT 2010 in just a few days.
