I am looking for a large screen netbook with a real processor and my friend told me about Compaq CQ61 laptop. HP has announced this Compaq CQ61 netbook that uses ATI graphics processing unit and an AMD Sempron processor.
The Compaq CQ61 laptop comes with Windows 7, a DVD Writer and 160 GB of storage. It is aimed at first PC users or buyers who do basic computing tasks like music, web, watching DVD and email. The 15.6″ CQ61 should offer plenty of visual comfort. T
The Price range is $400.

In the US, Compaq is becoming HP’s “value” brand. HP was a bit cagey on what TYPE of battery life to expect out of the included 6-cell. I think this CQ61 won’t be winning any beauty pageants but it is a good score for the cash-strapped student or one who needs a full-fledged laptop without all the netbook compromises on the cheap. Compaq CQ4010 slim desktop weighs in with relatively similar specs and a $319 pricetag.
I will see this Compaq CQ61 laptop in stores and then will decide what to do with it.
