I know some people have a dream of taking a sports car like a Lamborghini Reventón for a test drive but there are others who are more curious at the prospect of watching Searching For Bobby Fischer or watching Garry Kasparov challenge IBM’s Deep Blue again. And Lamborghini has just the thing for that latter group also.
Tonino Lamborghini (son of Ferruccio Lamborghini) has designed this silver chess set which is quite the stylish set. All the silver chess pieces are either polished or matte, as is the board. The whole set with slots underneath for the pieces comes in a super nifty wooden box.
This chess set comes packaged in a well appointed wooden case complete with protective storage slots for the pieces that are actually differentiated on either side of the board by their high-polish or matte finishes.
And given the Reventón’s $1.6 million price tag, $395 price tag for this chess set looks like quite the deal.
I haven’t play chess for a long time but this set have grown desperation in me to play at least once.
