The historic moon landing of Apollo 11 was celebrated by the famous brand Fisher Space Pen Co. on July 20 with limited edition AG7-40LE Space Pens.

The 40th anniversary pen is designed as a replica of the historic anti-gravity model pen, was invented in 1966 by company founder, Paul C. Fisher, and flew aboard the Apollo missions and is trying its best to justify its exclusivity with only 1000 units in production.

It has a piece of “Kapton” foil floating in its water-clear acrylic dome sealed into the pen’s cap, used as protective thermal insulation on the Apollo 11 Command module.

This rare pen is finished with black titanium nitride, and also has detailed engravings in 24-karat gold as well as the pen’s serial number, the names of the Apollo 11 crew and into the lunar surface, the iconic image of Neil Armstrong planting the American flag. When the lid is closed, an innovative magnetic pedestal makes the pen to sit on its own “launch pad” to display. It has the presentation case that tells the historic story of the Apollo 11 mission and other monumental moments in human spaceflight. Along with the display case, the ballpoint pen is available in a limited edition of 1000 for the price tag $800.

The Fisher AG -7 Space Pen has been issued to astronauts for NASA manned space flights since 1968 and is still used today. Now only 1,000 people have the rare opportunity to adopt both the pen model that went to the moon and an actual artifact from the most historic of all space events.
